Review: Aguner Poroshmoni Bangla Movie

Aguner Poroshmoni

Aguner Poroshmoni is a 1994 film based on the novel of the same name written and directed by Humayun Ahmed. The film won National Film Award in eight categories including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Plot. It was the first movie directed by Humayun Ahmed.

Humayun Ahmed made his debut as a film-maker by releasing the film. It was a time when the middle-class people of the country had long turned their backs on Bangla cinemas. Unconventional plot, humorous dialogues, lively characters and unique style of story line were the landmarks of the film.

Dipu Number Two (Bangla : দীপু নাম্বার টু) is directed by Morshedul Islam. The screenplay was based on the 1984 novel of the same name by Muhammed Zafar IqbalIt stars Arun Saha, who played the lead role of "Dipu". The film won two national film awards for best child actor (Arun Saha) & best supporting actor (Bulbul Ahmed).

Guerrilla (Bengaliগেরিলা) is a 2011 Bangladeshi film based on the events of the Bangladesh Liberation War. An adaptation of the novel Nishiddho Loban by Syed Shamsul Huq, it was released on 14 April 2011. 
Nishiddho Loban, the novel, is written by the prolific Bengali writer Syed Shamsul Huq. It has been envisioned by the director of the film Nasiruddin Yousuf Bachchu. He has crafted the film Guerrilla with his own experience as a freedom fighter of 1971.

Jibon Theke Neya (Bengali: জীবন থেকে নেয়া) is a 1970 Bengali language film directed by Zahir Raihan. The film is a political satire based on the Bengali Language Movement under the rule of Pakistan metaphorically, where an autocratic woman in one family symbolizes the political dictatorship of Ayub Khan in East Pakistan, and stars Shaukat Akbar, Anwar Hossain, Khan Ataur Rahmanand Rosy Samad. Jibon Theke Neya has been described as an example of "national cinema", using discrete local traditions to build a representation of the Bangladeshi national identity.
